ESG Project
The Peck Institute for Digital Citizenship (IPCD) was created in 2010 (then iStart) by a lawyer specializing in Digital Law, Dr. Patrícia Peck Pinheiro, with the aim of disseminating education in Ethics and Digital Security among Brazilian families.
IPCD's mission is to form the new digital citizen.
The proposal is to build a sustainable Digital Brazil through Digital Education. The Institute works directly with schools to train teachers and students to be better able to deal with the new challenges of the Digital Society and the increasing use of technological resources, inside and outside the classroom.
Sustainable Agenda
One of the pillars of the Peck Institute for Digital Citizenship's activities is to guide its actions in accordance with the guidelines and objectives of the UN's 2030 Agenda.
Actions and Initiatives
The IPCD has 4 programs focused on the development of digital citizenship for young people and also carries out special projects with partner institutions:
– Safe Game Program
– Young Programmers Program
– Digital Family Program
– Digital Certification Program for Schools
LGPD Certification
The LGPD Certification was launched in the year 2022 and aims to validate the level of adequacy of institutions to the guidelines of the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD). It also motivates the engagement and planning of educational managers regarding the ethical, responsible, and transparent use of technology.
Safe Digital School Certification
